Brian D. Schomp writes LitRPG and progression fantasy about ordinary people getting dropped into very unordinary problems.

Before writing The Delayed Tutorial, Brian served in the U.S. Navy and Army National Guard and built a career as an aircraft mechanic.

That background has a habit of sneaking into his fiction. Equipment matters. Bad plans hurt. People get tired. And nobody magically discovers unlimited ammunition because the chapter needs another gunfight.

The Delayed Tutorial is his debut novel, mixing System Apocalypse progression with family survival, dark humor, military realism, and a much larger problem involving a Tutorial that should have arrived a long time ago.

Brian lives in Kansas with his family, where he writes when life and aircraft cooperate.
